Description
Want to see Zion national park without the crowds and all the beauty? If you don’t mind the miles, then this experience is for you. In fact, it is one of the most favorite hikes and runs I have done nearly anywhere in the southwest part of the United States. You will start the day either at Lava Point, the beginning point for the West Rim Trail. Or, if you really want a long yet fulfilling day hike, the starting point will be at Wildcat Trailhead. This adds 6 additional miles to the West Rim Trail hike, which is 15 miles.
Why this hike? You see many natural areas of Zion few tourists ever see. From the central part of the canyons to hiking into the main Zion Canyon, you will experience seeing Lady Mountain, Castle Dome, Cathedral Mountain, and hiking DOWN this one way adventure into the main Zion Canyon seeing the Canyon Scenic Drive from 2,000 feet above, passing Angels Landing, and ending the hike through Walters Wiggles to the Zion Canyon Bus Stop number 6. In this full day adventure, you will hike with Brandon, owner of FOORTREK, a Colorado 14er Finisher, and who has also run Trans Zion and hiked/run west rim trail 25 times.
Due to heat and or snow, this trekking opportunity is only available in the months of September, October, November, April, and May. If this trek is desired in the summer, then please contact us here.
Everyone participating must be in good physical condition.
