5th year in a row to Summit to Mt Whitney – Tallest in Continental United States

My 5th year in a row summiting the tallest peak in the continental United States. Mount Whitney elevation of 14,505 feet. The peak rises 10,778 feet above the town of Lone Pine 15 miles to the east, in the Owens Valley. The most popular route to the summit is by way of the Mount Whitney Trail which starts at Whitney Portal.The hike is about 22 mi round trip with an elevation gain of over 6,100 ft.
